GDPU Home Match with Beith

Last Friday saw our second inter-club competition of the season, this time against Beith at home.  Bob Collins did a great job judging and at half time there were only a few points in it.  Inverclyde eventually came out on top.  Thanks to the Beith members who drove down to support the night and share some tea and cake with us at half time.

Club Season Starts Tonight

Just a reminder that our new season kicks off tonight.  Remember to allow extra time to park as the roadworks are causing havoc with traffic and parking locally!

Syllabus 2014_2015

The syllabus is now finalised and full details are to be found on the syllabus page.  There is lots to look forward to this season thanks to the hard work of the committee over the summer.

Summer Season 2014

Every Friday night is outing night! (Subject to there NOT being horizontal rain!).  Turn up at the club ready for a 7.30pm start WITH your camera and we will decide on the night where to go.  First outing this Friday.

Looking for more formal instruction?  Then Matt's 'Photography - back to Basics' night on 23 May is for you.  7.30pm in the clubhouse for some instruction followed by a practical photography session where you put into practice what you've learned.  This session is designed to get you off the auto setting!

Prospective members are also welcome!

Prospective members, feel free to call in - drop us an e mail first if you can and we'll make sure there is someone there to welcome you.

2nd Monthly Competition Winners

Congratulations to Bill Clark who was the winner of both the digital and print section.  Here are Bill's winning images;

This one is 'Fishmonger' and the judge commented that it really fitted the competition title of 'People at Work or Play' and was a worthy print winner.

The digital section was 'Nature' and this image is entitled 'Juvenile Blue Tit'.

Well done Bill and congratulations to everyone who placed.  The standards were really high.
