Inverclyde on Facebook

It's been interesting to see Inverclyde photos from the past and present on Facebook set up by Brendan Anderson (set up your own account and type in Inverclyde in its search box).

Some photos have also been good for looking at the area  from a new perspective and some are of very high quality such as this one by Nicolas Valentin
Its also interesting to see or ask for comments about old photos

Stormy Weather

Inverkip is usually a good place to record the changes in the weather as this oncoming storm shows. The beach at the war memorial car park just past the town is also worth a look at what ever the weather

National Geographic

National Gegraphic have always had an excellent standard of reporting and photographs and probably stimulated my own interest in photography.

Their photography section on the link below show some fantastic photos and walpapers available for your computer.
It's in the history of photography section that the first colour photograph was of a piece of tartan by the Scottish physicist James Clerk Maxwell
