It's been interesting to see Inverclyde photos from the past and present on Facebook set up by Brendan Anderson (set up your own account and type in Inverclyde in its search box).
Some photos have also been good for looking at the area from a new perspective and some are of very high quality such as this one by Nicolas Valentin

National Geographic
National Gegraphic have always had an excellent standard of reporting and photographs and probably stimulated my own interest in photography.
